I’m fairly new and happened to choose KDE for my own taste, but I would argue GNOME is not “fully” polished as per this post. The nits there may be small or mindless to GNOME diehards, but from a design standpoint, they seem pretty… rough.

2·2 months agoAh ok. So far, upgrades on Linux seem quite messy in my experience. I still don’t fully get why libraries need to pull 1-2 GB of updates every other day, for instance. I don’t mind keeping up with bleeding edge distros, but the data usage can get irksome.

2·2 months agoWhat are some examples of broken upgrades? I can’t really think of any of Kubuntu, except that the recent major distro update broke my fan’s RGB and they run proprietary Windows-only control programs so I can’t fix it.

2·3 months agoI think intelligence could be malleable to a degree. Neural plasticity is pretty powerful, and we’re still on the cutting edge of figuring that stuff out.

Lol, I came here to also post The 4400. It’s been a good experience, but I’ve been taking my sweet time through season 3… would hate for the watching experience to be over. I’m excited to see how the books are, though.
