1·1 year agoI agree but that doesn’t change the fact that intel is collapsing. I don’t think we need to artificially prop up failing companies either, if they are needed and they fail then nationalize their assets and let a closely monitored government entity run the fabs

2·1 year agoProbably plan on intel on continuing to implode over the next few years and there not being a competitor lol

6·1 year agoYes but that’s far less impactful of a breach than “we’ve actively surveilled and recorded all movements and actions of our customers for decade, stored it all haphazardly, and now someone else got it without paying for it like we normally arrange”

73·1 year agoSure but we’re burning tons of coal to have this thing advertise minion movies, not anything artistic or worthwhile.
Not only staying, they’ll stay and pay more

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some marketing tactics that you dislike ?
2·1 year agoYep, I want marketing to not exist. If your product or service is good then its reputation will stand on its own and spread via word of mouth. Billboards and ads should be criminal as they ruin our scenery and waste our time
You can, just buy the phone unlocked online and then get download an eSIM from a carrier. Bear in mind when buying the phone unlocked you’ll need to pay the full phone price up front and won’t be able to finance it through your phone plan like most Americans
My secops team has a hardon for teamviewer over something internal only like dameware… I just don’t get why. As soon as they mentioned going to team viewer for remote control I mentioned how terrible teamviewer has been with breaches and notifications of breaches but I think my ciso got a very nice dinner…

World News@lemmy.ml•Barcelona will eliminate ALL tourist apartments in 2028 following local backlash: 10,000-plus licences will expire in huge blow for platforms like Airbnb
3·1 year agoWhen I vacation in Europe I stay in apart-hotels that have space, kitchenettes, etc. Just stayed in one in Munich a week or two ago even.
They exist in Europe like most nice things that make sense do… not in the USA though. Our hotels suck, the only other option is airbnb of someone’s home which is often OVER equipped and sized for short stays.
We need an in between but I don’t see it being made due to our awful zoning law issues and if they were to exist they’ll likely be overpriced

2·1 year agoOh I’m sure, I have a few left that I’m planning on moving away from soon but have to get approval for paying for vendor support for it and get approval for the brief outage. Some of us aren’t allowed to do it over the weekend or even overnight without regulatory approval

Technology@lemmy.world•McDonalds removes AI drive-throughs after order errorsEnglish
94·1 year agoAre they also going to remove the human order takers due to number of errors or…. Because they never get shit right, then I correct them, then the kitchen kids get it wrong, occasionally i go back around to ask for it as I ordered, and sometimes the second time around it’s correct
That’s the trick, it’s always early cancellation, there is no allowed time to stop sending them money.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Does anyone have any instructables or ideas on how to make my car sound like a Tie Fighter as I drive around?
1·1 year agoYea mine isn’t plug in either, still get mid 40s mpg though which is great. 600 miles on a tank is fantastic for an suv. I might’ve gotten plug in but the dealers didn’t want to or couldn’t answer any questions on them and really fet like they didn’t want to show/sell them

It’s possible to acknowledge that yes but no they don’t make good games, just half-assed rehashed entries in the same 4 tired series they’ve been pumping games out of for decades
