Not all ISPs will support nat loopback (at least by default) so you could try calling them
For me, I turned their modem/router into bridge mode (just turned off wifi, it’s Rogers and they don’t have a bridge mode button on the Ignite routers) and use my own TP link router as a gateway and do my port forwarding to NPM there

Ultimate disc in the dark!
Do you need money if you can just teleport into a bank vault, grab some gold, and teleport out? :p
Latitude 7490 had a string of bad batteries too. Our XPS units kept having things disconnect internally (even after a motherboard swap with warranty). The latitude 7420 onwards have been super solid!
Hot take but a world without the USA would probably have a lot more war in it.
The client is dreadfully slow at syncing 1TB+ of data (corporate accounts).

The enshittification is already here.
Machines that can’t run Win11 aren’t immediately obsolete. They can run earlier windows (even though support has ended or will eventually end), and Linux.
And while I sound like I’m defending Microsoft, this is no different than Apple not supporting older Intel chips on their new OS’s. The big complaint here is the idea that all these unsupported machines are automatically destined for the landfill which I strongly believe is not correct.

And is what, 3 or 4 operating systems behind due to it being obsolete

Nice attempt to justify planned obsolescence. To think apple hasn’t done this time and time again, you’d have to be a fool

And now all the fan boys and girls will go out and buy another MacBook. That’s planned obsolescence for ya

It’s not underrated or forgotten, but LOTR two towers.
There are a few “teamviewer” open source alternatives you could containerized in an LXC that might work
I’ve also seen people set up a windows / Linux VM on proxmox for remote desktop
If it’s windows, remote desktop?
I use sunshine on my gaming pc, and moonlight to stream the desktop on a remote device. Works well over VPN too
I remember doing a some do research in middle school, and I found people disliked the extra gamey taste of dodo
