Wouldn’t it be pointless anyways, if people could just bookmark your profile url the old fashioned way regardless?

Reddit got more important once it Google ranked higher and the astroturfs found out, that people trust a review on Reddit inside a thread more, than multi million dollar marketing scam action, trying to game Google algorithm or other sites. The same will sooner or later happen to the fediverse if it ever grows. It’s unavoidable, sadly.

Damn, if only Spez didn’t have fucked up Reddit. I even wanted to invest in that IPO, but now I’m not going to.

Listening to music. There’s so much and I easily could spend a week just on artists from YouTube.
Into the breach. One of the best mobile games there is. Sadly you can’t get it legally anymore without Netflix subscription.
I agree with everything. Though we shouldn’t forget that Lemmy also allows for that sort of mindless scrolling and it needs afford to not get trapped in that. It’s far from perfect but it’s still better than nothing, because as you said, we gain so much from all the interactions, discussions and topics to engage in. Personally I believe we also always grow to become a better person via engaging instead of only consuming or ignoring. Of course you can still build your own bubble, but that’s with everything.

How fucked up in the head do you need to be to make shit like that up? It’s not even just an adult, which would be stupid enough, no, it’s an education official.

Maybe they did ask ChatGPT but with the wrong question. Shit in, shit out.

I enjoy how OP implemented this little hell into some people’s mind.

Nutella breakfast. I just love it so much. Also a lot of sitting because of PC gaming.

Can someone without eyes get brain sunburn?

That’s really cool. I got to do that with my Reddit account. Thx
Start small and do one thing right and stick to it. Look at a YouTube video explaining you how to do that one exercise correctly. If you feel pain, you do it wrong.
That’s it, that’s the whole magic.
Start with something light, like 5 pushups, every other day and keep doing so. Soon you wan to do 5 pushups and 5 deadlifts and 5 crunches. Then you start to quadruple the amount and at some point your workout becomes too long, so you split it up. That’s it, you’re in.
All these fitness apps are total overkill. You start the workout and then boom “do these 20 things in 40 reps”. Nah, that’s how people get frustrated and stop.
Also sore muscles will go away at some point. I only ever get sore muscles when I work out something new or had a long break.

Companies always have a name and money to lose and are a hurdle for overreaching hands. The government has no reputation nor money to lose and a simple agreement opens all doors if it’s already government owned. A big difference to me personally.
The government should only ever own things that would fail or be worse, if in public hands. Like infrastructure for instance.

That anthropic principle read just blew my mind. Thanks for sharing. First time I’ve had someone point out those other coincidences, those I’ve taken as given for a long time.
I got to save and re-read that once in a while. Hah

Great and in 2 -3 years we find out, that someone has actively abused this security hole for years and stole whatever master key is required, to create their own fake government CA and has been spying on everyone for years. Or political opposition was imprisoned before they could act. Best is, such man in the middle attacks allow for all sorts of things, including putting fake evidence on your computer.
Oh yes, no one would ever do that every, totally never happened and won’t. Nazis will also never come back. What, they soon are the biggest party in Germany, in other countries too? And will dictate rules in the EU? No one could see that happening…
Where there’s honey, there will be bears.
I just hope we can create a browser plugin to deny gov CAs automatically or a browser from outside EU to block that shit. …until your ISP is forced by law to block traffic from these.
One step closer to a great EU firewall and it sucks. Good old salami tactics. Because at some point it doesn’t even matter if there are ways to mitigate this spying, if the alternative are so complicated and uncomfortable to use, that 99,999% of the people won’t bother.

I hope not. I’m scared of the great filter.

The best part is people complaining to them for pointing out that 8gb is laughable little. Ah, the sweet fanboys.
Concerning. But we all know there’s more to it.
