Me: Oh and Mint, could you also add my old printer that I can’t get to work on any other OS I’ve tried?
Mint: Sure thing.
You complain when you hope it will get better. You switch when you realize it won’t. Just like relationships.

I am (was) a Windows user of 30 years and Windows 11 was the final straw for me. I’ve been playing around with Linux for 15 years but have only used it for my servers, as I never felt the desktop environment quite met the requirements for my daily driver.
One year ago, I made the switch, decided to power through and leave Windows behind. I was prepared to let go of the things that would not work on Linux and learn to live without them. Now, a year later, I’ve managed to migrate all my stuff to Linux. Sure, there are things I miss, but those are mostly aesthetics and not functionality.
And you are absolutely right! I’m pissed at Microsoft and have no plans to ever switch back.
There are 3 types of lies.
A lie.
A god damn lie.
And statistics.

Me too. Had been wanting to switch to linux for some time and Windows 11 gave me the final push and it went a lot smoother than expected.
I feel the same way. I like it the way it is.

How can you sleep at night?!?
I don’t. I game at night. Problem solved!

some of those AI crawlers are actually not crawlers, but actual users who just use AI instead of coming directly to the site. Soo… blocking AI completely could also potentially reduce exposure.
Normally, websites want users to come to their site, instead of an AI search engine “stealing” the content and presenting it as it’s own. Yes, AI search engines are more convenient for the user, but in the end it will discourage website creators and thereby cut of it’s own “food supply”.
You are absolutely right. How most people don’t seem to get this fact is beyond me.
Well, it’s factually correct that I’ve been having a laugh at your expense, so analyze that any way you want.
You said it wasn’t a good joke, because one can easily poke holes into it.
This is not correct. Being able to easily pick apart a jokes doesn’t automatically make it bad. Lots of good jokes will not pass that test either.
You not liking a joke based on that logic, is on you alone. But it’s not an universal rule of jokes. Do you think you’re some kind of authority or something?
No, I’m just saying you’re wrong. But it seems like you cannot take criticism.
It’s not my joke, so I couldn’t care less. I’m talking about jokes in general and the fact that you don’t understand how it works.
It’s always good to maintain a healthy skepticism. Science studies are only as correct as present knowledge allows and results therefore changes as our knowledge expands. There are plenty of examples where once scientific facts have been proven wrong.
Also, as you mention, some studies are fabricated only to serve specific agendas.
