Tech lover, nazi hater.

I had a toy like this over 40 years ago. Of course I just wound it up and let it go but it flew well.

Ungoogled chromium is just brave without all the privacy benefits, mullvad browser is just tor browser without tor, which might be useful in some cases if you are using multiple browsers but I wouldn’t main it , and it has the same problems as librewolf
Yes, librewolf is un-mozillad firefox but it also turns on many privacy features by default. Many sites need exceptions to work properly which takes a little getting used to. After using FF for decades librewolf was an easy switch.

Gotta get me some of that.
These can be purchased online. Friend has one.

Exactly. IT folks know most large legacy businesses run on legacy code. The businesses do change the old code due to the risks.
I believe Elon thinks his team can do it. I believe he is wrong.

After Firefox changed its TOS a lot of people (including me) have jumped to LibreWolf. It takes FF, removes any parts that phone home, and turns on many privacy options.
It takes a little tweaking to make all websites work correctly. I have it running almost perfectly on windoze. I tried installing on Ubuntu last night but my Linux newbie status held me back.

Does my comment above sound familiar?

In my case it is depression. There is a bit a of anxiety and ADHD mixed in to keep it fun. Self-medicating with drugs/alcohol makes it difficult to go too long without causing life problems.
Although I’m currently down, I’m not having thoughts of suicide, and have not for about 4 months.
I have a huge fear of sharing those thoughts because I know I will likely get 5150 again. Hospitalization costs $$$$.

My parents are in very old now, no change there. My sister says I can reach out any time but she never responds.
I have started seeing a therapist which has been helpful in several ways, even if I skipped today’s appt.

When I was young I recall visiting my aunt in a mental institution many times. I was told she had a nervous breakdown but it wasn’t discussed beyond that.
When Reagan closed all the mental institutions she bounced around boarding houses. The first ones were terrible. Later ones were much, much better.
When I was older I found we took the same meds.
Discussion of mental illness is still avoided in my family.

Lol. Good point!

This is my most common use. It is grrat for opening large log files on servers.

My last two TVs were dumb ones.
It is getting harder find dumb TVs because the smart stuff included with most TVs subsidizes keeping the initial price low. Manufactures are betting millions of dollars purchasers will sign up for the monthly apps.

Forums are alive and well when looking for car info. Whenever I get a different car I look for communities with the most activity and that is usually a forum.
The one exception I can think of (proving the post to be true) is the first generation Tundra (2000-2007). The FB group had more current news than the forums and I managed to get banned (first time ever).

Truth. I’ve worked in one that provided mirrors to remind you to smile.
