I know I definitely believe that there’s full time to be able to improve stuff like this. I don’t mind trying out new programs that work much better and smoother than the old ones. The point is the command prompt just works every single time any single time and you don’t have to worry about installing anything cuz it’s baked in built in and at the core of every single window system. You don’t have to get used to new commands new terminal lingo or anything like that it just works.

Technology@lemmy.world•Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies insteadEnglish
4·2 days agoWell if you think about it this way there’s also less packaging involving b2b. You don’t have to sell to a middleman who then will resell it. You can just sell at the higher price point to start with and you can have a whole lot less packaging involved and then just provide it straight out to the company. You also selling both which gets you a larger amount at once so rather than having to stockpile and everything like that. There’s a whole lot of other factors that go in selling B2B for even a retail company as opposed to selling retail.

111·2 days agoNowadays? It’s always been the case. It’s far easier and less hassle to sell to or work for other businesses. I run an IT service company and I avoid residential work line the plague. It can sometimes make me more money, but over all it is horrible as opposed to work done for other companies.
That doesn’t look like a razr

42·2 days agoSaying you bought a 79 because it isn’t connected is idiotic.
Interesting thing is I’ve been running Windows 11 on the laptop that I purchased for business use for the past I don’t know 4 years or whatever it is that I’ve had it it was one of the early laptops at Costco sold with Windows 11 on it. I use it exclusively for business use in the it world. Mostly so I can turn remote control when I’m configuring system servers etc over to other technicians and I don’t have to worry about what’s on it because in the end I could just wipe the whole thing and not give a shit. But not one person not one technician not one tech desk I’ve worked with and a lot of access to my laptop over the past 4 years give or take has ever even bothered opening that program. Everybody pretty much just uses the command prompt to do all the things are going to do on it. And I suppose if I were actively and admin full time or something for that effect I would use it. But in that case the last time I ran and never Operation center or I was an administrator I ran Linux and just ran terminal over that.

I had a fold three for almost 4 years and it was fantastic. And then upgraded to the fold six and had it for about a month open the screen on it and literally didn’t even close it and break it and drop it literally just picked it up opened it and it cracked in half I was so pissed. Going through the warranty process they could not get me a six or a seven so they sent me a check which unfortunately would raise my bill by over $100 because I no longer had a phone to trade in at this point so I finally just downgraded to a Samsung 24 plus and in about 6 months I’m going to trade this one back in to get the fold seven because I definitely don’t want to pay over $2,000 just out of pocket.
30 seconds ago I literally just typed in the CMD and hit enter and it opened up my command prompt.
Ok. So you type the correct name of the program. Cause terminal ain’t it. CMD and it opens fine.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why do some people try to humanize the wealthy and people in positions of power?
4·6 days agoThis is an idiotic post. Yes, they are human. Yes they may make bad decisions, but so do poor people. They just don’t make enough to matter.

It’s hilarious, and sad, that the same issues I dealt with nearly 20 years ago, are still the same issues.
