Yeah, this is why reincarnation tropes always creep me the fuck out. Amnesia tropes often do, too.

Fortunately I don’t think this is actually a thing that really happens, personally, so you don’t have to worry about that particular horror. Just regular nonexistence (which is also pretty terrifying, but still better than your corpse walking around and other people thinking it’s the same person…).
