Hundreds of international students studying in the US have received emails from the US Department of State (DOS), telling them to self-deport as their F-1 visas (student visas) have been revoked owing to campus activism.

The email warned the student that if they stay in the United States without lawful immigration status, it could lead to fines, detention, and/or deportation.
