Time heals all wounds. I think after this Reddit blackout and the 3rd party apps turn off we will get a massive influx of users. After a month or so of the big spike we might see other topics and communitys take off.

I really like the poker subreddit. It’s a really strange place, there’s always some kind of shit post, tons of sarcasm… people are dicks to eachother. And yet it can be a very helpful resource when the facade drops and people become genuinely helpful. Also lots of great clips from world poker events. I’m not sure Lemmy is the place for this tbh, there are many other established poker forums.

Any time I talk about decentralized apps to friends and family I come across as some kind of conspiracy driven weirdo. I do not understand why decentralization comes across as some kind of extreme radical movement. I’m not protesting or anything, everything else just sucks lol
