The clash of clans

Plex.tv It’s a free multimedia server that you can install on your computer and start streaming your own video & music to yourself or your family and friends when you share your server. I paid for the Lifetime license because it’s worth it. I own a 36tb server at home and I shared my server to about 20 people.
Envy and jellyfish are other open-source solution that are also great to use.

Plex along with Plexamp

It’s been more than 25 years of accumulating mp3, editing and cleaning my libraries, upgrading to flac, etc. Now going strong at around 600gb of music.

Pretty much what France is doing with the old colonies

500 torrent seeder here. I was a leecher back then, but now I have the bandwidth capacity and the Internet speed to do much more than before. I don’t mind the leechers, they are part of the ecosystem.

Bitwarden crew checking in. The best thing about bitwarden is the 10$/year to have a pro account. It gives you, amongst other things the ability to store up to 1tb of attachments and reports on various risk assessments.
You can even host your own instance.
I recommend it.

Youtube shorts, TikTok, Facebook Story, Snapchat Reel: they are all the same. If you block TikTok, then you need to block others as well.
Legal wise, it’s very hard to target a very specific type of media consumed. How can you really restrict that? IMHO, the only thing that might have better effects is educating people.
Same for drugs, alcool and tobacco. They are a all addictives at different levels, and they have different consequences as well that neeeds to be taken account.

That’s right, science topic is underrepresented on Lemmy.
To me, a big spoon trapped like it can act as a lever, is not a good idea in a kitchen, in general. I Myself pull a small plate to put my kitchen tools on it.
This should be illegal. The spoon will drip the juice on the oven. Plus its a hazard if someone happen to swing near the spoon, it’s game over.
It might be overkill and some sysadmin don’t like using them but Ubiquity with their Unifi model is all I’m using at home. USG as my router/firewall, 24-port 500w PoE switch, unifi cloud key for interface, and an AP-AC-Pro for WiFi access. The access point is enough to cover all my house and even my backyard.

I mean, natural ones. Not man-made ones 😂

We’re so close to seeing a fire tornado go from fiction to reality.
That the web needs more decentralization, open source and strong open standards.

You should go see the github for lemmy-ui. There is feature request to add the weight of the community into account so we don’t only see the most popular post from the biggest communities. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues
Only for superstonk and wallstreetbets. I find the fediverse including Mastodon enough for me. I was never a Twitter guy, but I created a Mastodon account on Infosec and it’s amazing the knowledge and people you can find out there.

I love the fact that on Lemmy, you can edit your title… until too much people abuse it.
More like stuxnet level !
