feddit.de is in this error state since quite a while now (over a month). The web interface does not work anymore, but connecting through an app still works (I use voyager for example). Most people have migrated away from feddit.de to feddit.org. I will do the same at some point, I just didn’t have the time yet.

Are you using the web player or the iOS app? There is the official ABS app or Plappa as a third party app.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Android users, what's stopping you from switching to an iPhone?
1·2 years agoTo be honest: they didn’t. They were perfectly clear in their announcement that they are not the first to do it.
Did you report it? Maybe no one noticed yet.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Android users, what's stopping you from switching to an iPhone?
6·2 years agoIt got a lot better. Now (or I should say, in a few months) you can place icons wherever you want on the homescreen.
Yes, pizza and burgers and stuff, sure. But usually not for donuts.

Technology@lemmy.ml•World's largest sodium-ion battery goes into operation - Energy Storage
9·2 years agoWhere do you take that number from? 1MWh/mo seems quite high. Also considering that the stored energy will only be used when solar or wind are low, the battery will never be used to supply 100% of the electricity.
So it will support many more homes.
A donut delivery service? That’s the most American thing I have read today.
There are case fans with a temperature sensor. They already control the speed themselves depending on the measurement. The only thing they need is 12V.
For example the Arctic F12 TC.

3·2 years agoThe Wolf Amendment, named after former US representative Frank Wolf, prohibits NASA from using government funds to cooperate with the Chinese government — unless it has certification from the FBI that such collaboration poses no threats to national security or risks inadvertently leaking space-related tech or data.
So, it is not like China does not want to cooperate.

Exactly this. YOU can make things interesting. It really depends on the attitude.
Upvote for actually giving (I think) useful advice and adjusting expectations.

It will be less efficient, yes. But it is still a net positive. If it is cheaper to build it there, you can just add more power to compensate for that loss in efficiency.
It will not be a 100% loss. For reference: the power loss of the transmission in the US is on average 5%. Let’s say it is double that, it is still very little in the grand scheme.
