I read/heard an interesting conspiracy theory the other day: The west didn’t want to fully topple the Putin regime in case the power vacuum brought out something worse (Prighozin and his Nazi’s armed with nukes).

Perhaps they held back just to grind down the Russian army at the expense of the UA.

Tonnes of hikes and Parks around Vancouver now require a pass to enter in order to control the crowds. My partner and I refer to this as “nature’s full”. It really sucks.

I’m guessing we’re less than 5 years off from an equatorial nation hitting 55-60°C during a (summer) heatwave causing a massive number of people to perish.

At this rate we’re probably only a year or two away from seeing an area in the world head into the 50°C+ range and kill everyone who can’t get into air conditioning.

Give it 5-10 years and this will be fashionable again.
