1·18 days agoCan confirm, I helped a friend put Fedora on their old laptop to give it life again. Even though I wrote them instructions, once it came time for the terminal stuff, they video called me, lol. They love using that laptop now, though! They were in their early 20s for reference.

I remember reading a study awhile ago that was kind of shocking:
Most people when they make a mistake/s need someone/thing to show them why it was a poor decision and how it led to consequences.
Less people than that are able to learn from their mistakes on their own.
And the smallest group, people that just flat out never learn, even if everyone points it out to them.

No charging: The battery lasts for up to years of average use. After the end of its life, send your ring back to us for recycling.
I’d hope they offer a discount on a new one if you send in your old.

8·2 months agoIn case this helps, for me when I use it on Android TV with said TV’s remote, the arrow buttons on the direction pad for anything require pressing play/OK button after. But if I use the fast forward buttons, it does seek and then just keeps playing.

5·2 months agoI used to be an xlite fan, but have since discovered 11 IoT Enterprise LSTC. massgrave.dev
Same idea of bullshit free, but more stable and straight from M$, themselves. Defender and Edge ONLY.
Then install StartAllBack on top of that. Everything feels sane, and snappy and back to sanity.

201·3 months agoSome anecdotal evidence, but when I boot into my W11 install for certain online games, I have none of these issues mentioned. My 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC + StartAllBack setup- knocks on wood- continues to be bullet proof. For anyone who still needs Windows, I highly recommend it.
