The Anti-Defamation League, a US-based pro-Israeli group which monitors anti-Semitism and hate speech, has described Musk’s gesture as “awkward” but did not say it was a Nazi salute.
That’s a bit of bullshit. The ADL said specifically that it was NOT a Nazi salute. Which is the end of the ADL, for me. They’re simply not credible as alleged opponents of anti-Semitism.
102·2 years agoI am not annoyed by Lemmy’s constant glitches. It adds to the charm of the place.
Lemmy is a volunteer effort. You want everything to run corporate-smooth, that’s ‘X’ and TikTok and Reddit.
I can’t even get past the user interface at Discord. Rarely have I felt so uninvited to participate, even as the site aggressively invites me to participate.
And worse, 12-Foot Ladder intentionally doesn’t work on many newspaper sites. Maybe they got some cease-and-desist letters, but for bypassing paper paywalls it’s often useless.
Factcheck: Everyone hasn’t told @iriyan@lemmy.ml that they’re flat out wrong about TV ads. I haven’t had my turn yet.
