You must have downloaded some pre-packaged install because Arch by default doesn’t come with a GUI. Normally you have to install everything yourself: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide

So when are we going to see these in trains?

Usually all ThinkPads work mostly the same regarding Linux support (bar the usual Nvidia driver shenanigans if you ever trip that), but I’d be concerned about the E-series themselves. If you want a cheaper than T-series ThinkPad you should get an L-series one. Not as expensive as the T-ones, but still retains some usable chassis durability, double replaceable memory slots, replaceable keyboard, etc.
I’ve started calling the E-series as E-waste.
You mean GNU\Windows\NT
Ohh, so like he’s the Tommy Tallarico of tech

Why is it written with USD?

I mean no more live view via the screen

If it’s a moving mirror camera* and it’s used to take stills it’s probably fine, as the sensor is only exposed for a fraction of a second per image.
You can say goodbye to live view then
Now 9 wonder if there’s a similar report for Mozilla
grub rescue>

long obsolete dos text editor
It’s a full rewrite in Rust, with no direct relation to the old program.

Idk, their post history looks super weird

tried to out dick-wave each other for years wasting hundreds of billions of dollars and cratering their in-house teams
while totally wasting power and our environment

Not really an “Average Windows/MacOS user will run into” issue but most power users would run into it

Also, there is some talking on github on how they will probably completely drop LVM in the near futur… That’s not what someone should expect from a Linux installer!
It’s a shitshow. Looking at their repo’s issues list has lots of noise, but the worst of them is that the LVM issue has been open for over a year now. Sure, open source, anyone’s free to work on it by why would distros use such a feature incomplete installer?
Have you tried Zulip?
