“Fresh” in this context meaning you have to work out the defect again wherein it winds up pinching you.

Disagree. If the document was completely logical & self-supporting, then there’d be no need to cherry pick as anything said would be consistent with the whole. You could highlight certain aspects, but that’s not cherry-picking.

Whine all you want, doesn’t mean I have to listen to it - especially if you’re not going to listen to me.

That’s not the problem. The problem is the abundance of assholes using selected parts of the Bible to manipulate others while conveniently ignoring other parts of the Bible that contradict them. They choose what parts they want to hear, and then act like they’re unassailable edicts that came straight from God.

I love coming across a fellow browncoat!

Yeah, that’s pretty common. Final cost will always matter, but the product still has to be worth it. Many companies have a history of not making the best balance calls, however.
One thing I’ve learned never to scrimp too much on, however, is anything i directly interact with. Displays are especially important for the health of your eyes - especially with as much time as most people spend looking at them nowadays. As such, I can’t really get behind this product.

I guess I’m too much of a “if you’re gonna do something, then do it right the first time” kinda person. I’ve learned from (too much) experience that compromises on quality too often just wind up being wasted money.

Have you seen the resolution? It’s crappy.

Yeah, but the gameplay is really uneven.
Hell, he’s got it better than many others do.

I think the practice really took off with the arrival of AI & people not wanting their stuff harvested for training it. My personal feeling might be considered rather defeatist, but I don’t see the point in doing that because they’re going to feed whatever they can get their hands on to the AI beast, and so I’d rather have at least some miniscule influence over what it regurgitates to others.

Now, if we can just get the robber barons and their wholely-owned politicians out of the way of progress…
As Tom Petty said, however, “the waiting is the hardest part.”

Thx for the explainer - I have some research to do.

I’m not sure what that last part means, but TY.

I don’t ever want to have to set up my PC again. Will Tumbleweed be good to accomplish this for a user used to Windows?

And I’d do it again!
But even those countries who aren’t likely profiting from it have been rather muted in their reactions. It’s rather disappointing. Only their nearby middle eastern neighbors have really had anything significant in terms of response up until recently.
Just wait until they have to deal with places that don’t use full hours to adjust the time.
