1·2 months agoI installed mint. Used USB WiFi adapter, or shared phone as tethered WiFi over USB, can’t remember what one. Opened the drivers app on mint. It asked me to install the proper drivers. Done. No issues since.

2·4 months agoGenerally it shows us content that makes us mad. Sadly, and opposite to what we thibk, humans are more likely to engage with content thst pisses us off. Maybe it took things too far with yours. Possibly you commented on how fucked up one post was so it showed you more. Dunno.

2·4 months agoIf I’m running mostly f-droid apps, and play services is not installed (e.g. I cant run YT-Revanced as it needs gapps).
Then does that mean I should be able to move over to graphine without much issue?
What abkut the one or two apps uninstall throguh Aurora store, woild they work?

1·7 months agoI read a heap of peer review articles on thst. They seemed to suggest a form without all the P when ads (sans?) Is just as good. Along woth mono space and larger font size.
Helvetica or Ariel are just as good. In use Adobe Ember or whatever its called.

Jokes aside. Backing up data to a software owned by a Chinese, American or Swiss company would have different implications. Different laws apply on how the government can access and use that data.
Interestingly this is my path to linux, and Ive seen it recommended elsewhere.
Move all your services to the cloud, or foss software (as most is available on linux). Then get off windows.
Libreoffice Inkscape / gimp Firefox/Chromium Thunderbird Obsidian (for notes) Bitwarden Signal Syncthing
And most of these have phone apps too!

Somone on Lemmy made an distro chooser flowchart a few days back. It was pretty good.
