Yeah, I finally got a car with Android Auto earlier this year and was excited to get it. I thought it would basically let me mirror my phone on the car touchscreen, but instead, it only uses specific apps for things. I hate it. I just use Bluetooth for phone or with Revanced for audio and I park my phone in the cupholder for nav. Works better.

Don’t know where you are, but Kijiji is absolutely thriving in Ontario. My old man has about 40-50 items up at any given time, and has no problems finding buyers to rotate through his stock, and he is nowhere near a major population centre. I just looked at ads for a city centre and there is a lot available. It is definitely possible to work outside of facebook.

I think you are right. I keep finding different ways they did it, so sounds like the 1800s was a busy period in the development of mirror technology!

Pretty sure they just poured silver nitrate over glass. You can still buy kits to do that to re-silver old mirrors for the original look. From what I can find, the layered ones were older, and they used tin and mercury which made breaking a mirror a rather unlucky event.

People here laughed at those and traded them around like cards. Banning tobacco in all public places though, that got very noticeable and immediate results. The public health campaign “helped” about as much as a 3 year old making cookies with mom.

You can see the text on the front of them for what they are for. Blue are regular passports for casual travel. Red are diplomatic passports for high ranking officials. Green are special passports for senators, MPs or government workers on official business. White temporary passports are usually issued abroad where a Canadian citizen has an urgent requirement to travel but doesn’t have a passport for whatever reason.
