Yeah it’s not great the way supers tend to validate vigilantism. Ultimately you can have rule of law or some form of tyranny. There are middle grounds, but those are the options. Also the hero’s journey literary paradigm has regressive aspects. 🤓

I have to assume that also, it’s a game that is definitely not for everyone, and the price reflects that. If I only got as far as I have in 5 hours and decided to give up, I’d have been sore about $40. As it is I’m going to spend a lot more time with it and I’m already happy with how much entertainment I’ve got for my money.

It can always get worse. I found the US bad enough to leave five years ago. The UK is on the same path, but it seems like nowhere is truly resistant to the larger problems.

If America’s cities were all occupational juntas, practically speaking what would be different? Extrajudicial killings? Public officials and journalists being threatened? Dissent brutally quelled? Top-down class war?

Yeah got to be careful with used though, I got a nice commercial grade saucepan at a junk shop last weekend for £3 and it leaks. Only found out after three rounds of scrubbing with bar keepers, too. That’s going to be good for flowers, you want some drainage after all.

I got a damaged one for £25. The enamel is dented, but it’s still good for breads if I use parchment
