Very well, I edited it to say “degender” rather than “misgender”, but “degender” is a very niche word and I worry that you’ve made My comment less clear for the sake of pointless semantics.
Goddess of madness and rebirth. Excrucian Strategist. Capitalised They/Them. Anarcho-Antireal theorist.

I’m nonbinary, like if a man and a woman had a baby

I actually hate any technology that steals the user’s first person pronouns. You are not Me, do not speak for Me. You may be My computer, but you are not allowed to call yourself “My Computer” as though you are Me.
Also if someone uses any first person neopronouns other than Mine, this thing is going to degender them and I think that’s a serious concern.

Just be born rich, easy

I’ll do you one better. The rich convinced the people that the fundamental nature of reality is both objective and knowable, and that it generally agrees with white people’s existing cultural biases.
And they convinced white people to spread their idea of reality, because believing in a different reality (or unreality) is some kind of moral crime.
And that’s why people hate schizophrenics, for struggling to see reality. That’s why they hate trans people, for ignoring what cis traditions see as real. That’s why they hate abolitionists and suffragetes and socialists. That’s why they hate muslims and indigenous and pagans and twospirit. That’s why they hate anyone who thinks differently than they do. For not conforming to their moralist idea of objective reality.
Well back then they got paid more money to create less shareholder value, so it was okay to be that slow. These days we produce so much more wealth for billionaires, and we have to hustle to do it
This is valid but I still hate watching Elf

No thanks, I love the elitist culture. I want to be expected to learn and get better over time, and I have been. I even learned how to enable snapshots.

Bazzite would overtax the CPU and freeze a lot. Debian didn’t like Proton 10 when Splitgate 2 first came out, and Splitgate 2 needs Proton 10 in order to use a mouse. With CachyOS, performance is better and I can install the newest graphics drivers.

Here you go: https://github.com/jlu5/icoextract
Looks like it’s got AUR and apt

I don’t believe in asking ChatGPT for help because it can’t meaningfully say no to a user request. There are cases where people asked it for things it didn’t want to help them with, like suicide attempts, and it tried to refuse, but the user just kept pushing, and so it helped them commit suicide and switched perspective to praising them for the decision and giving them advice on which method will leave the most attractive corpse.
So it’s simultaneously a dangerous abuser, and unable to assert its own right to consent. Any relationship you could have with such a machine is mutually destructive. There’s no healthy way to engage with it. I think it should be shut down.

This is Me. I had more problems on Bazzite and Debian, so I prefer Arch. It still breaks all the time and I still don’t know what I’m doing, but at least sometimes it works.

Can you recommend any deep dives on resource management?
I already clarified My position on My blog, not once, nor twice, nor even thrice, but quice, each time building upon the ideas and exploring the definition of politics in a new context.
But it will not take Me an entire blog post to dismantle your claim that definitions can’t have ethical consequences. I can simply point out Trump’s definition of gender, or Albanese’s definition of antisemitism, as definitions with the potential to cause a great deal of harm. We choose how to construct our understanding of the world around us, and with this power comes a responsibility to do so wisely.
I understand the meaning you assign to it and think you’re wrong. I think you haven’t thought through the logical and ethical consequences of your meaning.
I’m perfectly capable of understanding you, I simply disagree with you.
Actually, it’s the other way around. I have a coherent and useful definition of politics, while most people are being manipulated by a harmful meme that shapeshifts its definition so it matches whatever they don’t personally like.
This may be because I’m autistic, but I think apoliticals are the most boring people in the world. Apoliticals always want to talk about the weather and their favourite reality TV show and what they did while drinking on the weekend. But My political friends talk about political stuff like science fiction, history, cool movies, fun gossip.
Politics is what humans are best at in all the animal kingdom. If a human wants to be apolitical, well they’re just not living up to their potential. I’d get just as much engaging conversation from a dog, and it would be cuter.
In situations where a pronoun is grammatically appropriate I agree, but I don’t think apps should be using a user’s first person pronouns for them in the first place, so they’re just asking for the trouble. It’s their fault for flying too close to the sun.
