unless we’re also putting “Slave” and “Cotton” on the dictionary chopping block
Aren’t we though? At least when it comes to tech, Master-Slave terminology has been largely deprecated in favor of other terms.

3·2 years agoDefibrillators aren’t used to start your heart though. Quite the opposite actually.
They’re used to get you out of an abnormal heart rhythm, by briefly stopping your heart, and letting your body restart it on it’s own, hopefully with a regular rythm.
You only need two fingers for that though

Linux is as user-friendly as the user wants it to be.

3·2 years agoNot to defend homeopathy, but a big part of why placebo works is how we percieve the medicine/treatment.
Tic tacs wouln’t work as well as fake medicine (aka homeopathy) because they don’t look as “official”.
