My laptop has been discontinued by the manufacture for a couple years now and with support for Windows 10 ending, I wanted to increase the lifespan of my device so I looked into Linux. The lack of ads, bloat, and spyware are also major selling point to me.

I recently learned that I’m allergic to mosquito bites, it turns out it’s not normal for them to swell up to an inch in a half.

Me if I was a philosopher

We had a couple of brutal heat waves where I am this summer. It was like 35C but reached 43C+ with the humidity. It’s probably not super hot from where you might be, but it’s practically unheard of in my Canadian province. I couldn’t go anywhere without feeling like I was melting and I was covered in sweat it was so embarrassing! >_< Summer is my favourite time of year, I love going on long hikes regularly but the heat made it impossible.

I’ve only used Apple computer a handful of times, but there is a lot of elements to Pop!_OS that remind of Mac. Particularly the tiny loading circle your mouse creates after opening a window reminds me of the similar that used to come up on my elementary school old Macs.

I also switched to Pop!_OS a couple days ago. I’ve only used Windows all my life and this distro made everything so easy. The Pop Store is a lifesaver.

I heard about this on Lemmy a couple weeks ago. I’m so jealous, I wish my city would host something similar.
