When I pour my dog’s food I tell her ‘yes! This is super rich and tasty food for very small, and very good, and very beautiful doggies! D’ya see? It says it right here (it doesn’t, actually, it only says it’s for small dogs but she can’t read), see? There’s even a picture! But this doggy isn’t as good, or as beautiful, or as small as my wee girl is, is it?’ And then I have to pet her, kiss her on the fore head, and point to her plate and say ‘come on! Do eat it!’ Or she just would keep staring at me like waiting.

As the other commenter said you can wait outside. Also, if you let the water run in the bathroom sink until it’s hot it’ll be just a couple seconds for it to get to the shower.

I use to work retail selling (mostly) women clothes. At one point we had the same model of sundress with and without pockets. Every one of them that was watching or trying the one without got like super hyped and excited when we told them we had it with pockets. The pocketless one still sold better. And it wasn’t even a tight fitting dress, it was slack and baggy.

8·4 months agoSmall correction, the article doesn’t say he was going to therapy. It says that his mother was a therapist, I had to reread that sentence twice:
Neither his mother, a social worker and therapist, nor his friends
The mother, social worker, and therapist aren’t three different persons.
A rail conversion! That’s pretty cool, like in RttF2!
I didn’t know trolleybuses already had batteries back in the eighties, I thought it was a more recent development, that’s super cool too.
Also, that 260 is a fine looking bus, most buses I’ve seen in the last decades looked pretty mah imo.
‘Electric bus’ usually means a bus that relays in batteries to supply electricity to the motor(s). When, instead, it uses trolly poles (plural, it needs two) it’s called ‘trolleybus’.
The third one is weirder. It’s like a tram/trolley, but I don’t see any pole or pantograph to supply the energy. I’ve read about diesel ‘tram-trains’, essentially several trams or light rail vehicles linked together. Do you know something more about this last one?

152·5 months ago‘Paid’. When some egyptaboo tells you that “there weren’t slaves in Egypt at this time”, remember the ‘workers’ were paid in housing, bread, and beer. And were kinda bound by their duty to the God-Pharaoh. Totally not slavery!
Tho now thinking of it it’s not like my wage stretches farther than that either…
Edit: spelling and punctuation are hard.
Not a crime to be drunk at any time in Spain. Is it illegal to be drunk or there’s a permitted timeframe to be drunk where you live?
People would give you weird looks in other places.
You can have beer in a bigger format in Spain, and if you go to a place to drink beer you would order something from a ‘tercio’ (330ml bottle) to a ‘jarra’ (usually 500ml, some places have 1-1.5l mugs). The tiny beer glasses (caña, ~200ml) have another purposes, for example if the place serve good ‘tapas’, a complimentary small dish served with your drink, since they have the same size whatever you order you get more food with smaller beers; or if you aren’t staying at the place and just want, or need, a quick refreshment before going somewhere else.

Do you have a bit of info on these Linux mobile OSs? The FP5 didn’t convince me as a main phone when I needed a new one last year, but if it can take a real Linux distro it could be a cool toy.
People here saying single handle faucets must have much better ones than what we’ve got where I’m from, no fucking chance of getting the same temperature again after shutting it. And the middle of it is extremely sensitive, it goes from 10% to 90% in like the middle two millimeters, and I think the pressure of the hot water overcomes the cold’s so you have to turn a bit left and then right again to stabilize the temp.
For my shower, which is the one that matters most for me, I got a thermostatic one—you set the temperature on the right handle and the flow on the left one, and that’s it, perfect temperature forever. Even if someone flushes, which only happens when my sister is visiting because she doesn’t understand boundaries, it doesn’t change one whole degree for more than a second, only the flow is be affected.
As a side note my grandma’s bath tube some 30+ years ago (it had probably another 30 or more) had two handles for hot-cold, left and right, and then another two for the shower-faucet flow, up and down. It wasn’t as fine tuned as my modern one, but worked quite well. You would only open or shut without touching the proportion of hot/cold.
