In this scenario you would no longer be moving, so the phone should come back on.

NP complete.

Same! But long, long ago, like 2017 or so. I am overdue for another play through soon!

Forgot to add a key detail! This game is a direct homage to the old Escape Velocity games if you remember those.

Came here to say this, although I would not categorize it as a “shooter mining grind” (FWIF I never mine grind).
There are tons of things to do and stories to play. The community is quite active especially on the Git and Discord. Lot’s do to but you really need to explore to get the full experience.
Also
Republic and Syndicate story lines when? Can we stop making a zillion different alien factions already?

They have specifically gotten better about adding in other opportunities especially for starting the
Free Worlds
story line.

Elvis Costello explained this back in 1977: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eD_24nDzkeo&list=RDeD_24nDzkeo&start_radio=1

They saw what you did and are very disappointed in you.
For the record I like no1 the best.
But what if I told you that you could make no2 in less than ten minutes with only three ingredients?

(if you slightly undercook this you could still bake, just add breadcrumbs, sprinkles of some hard cheese, and herbs on top of it and back for about 10 minutes on 180c/350f)

So …if you never let any Microscope product update on your Apple product, you should be fine, right?

Thank you for the explanation.

Can you elaborate on the social security thing? I have lived most of my life outside the States and hope to never need SS, but, well, best to know what’s going on just in case.

Double plus good talking to your boss. One of my people had this exact same thing happen to her. I went to the other dude and told him any requests for my people to do work outside my department had to come though me, end of story.
Nobody pulls that shit on my people.

Battery density and transmission loss, that’s the name of the game. Materials science for sure.
I was also pointing out that, as long as people want to fly planes or ship good across oceans, we have nothing close to the energy density of the various fuels used.
But everything else need to be going as green as possible as soon as possible.

The thing is we still need carbon heavy fuel for fertilizers, medical plastics, chip making etc.
Not to mention oceangoing ships and airplanes. There is no battery on the horizon nearly energy dense enough to make that kind of transport work.

Thanks for the very detailed reply! I’ll check into it.

But I hate how much metadata that Wire leaks.
This is the first I have heard of this - can you point me to any sites?

Very cool, thanks.

You’re getting a lot of downvotes - I think it might be helpful if you explain you are using a different sort of AI rather than LLMs or gen AI.

Ok, so I am considered somewhat of an “expert” in my rather narrow field. Fine, but anyone my age who’s worked in this field as long as I have would equally be an “expert.”
Somehow two years ago I got onto some kind of list. I had five or six “expert” panel companies pay me* to talk their consultants for an hour. I’ve been offered about 30 of these and done about half.
But here’s the kicker: none of them ever vetted me beyond looking at my seldom to never updated LinkedIn profile. I could be making all this shit up and no one would know. No references checked, not even a cursory background check.
So I guess you could say someone is an expert if someone else calls them that?
Hang in there our German brothers and sisters, the heat finally broke in NL last night.
Of course, it’s still 26C and 80% humidity, so YMMV.
