Can you imagine what it must be like to have a stake in roku when you get the news that the company is going to be sold for 22 billion? Do you just immediately nut and throw up at the same time?

Yeah, im 41, i have a wife, a nice house, 2 cars, 4 kids, 3 dogs and quite a bit of debt. I wouldn’t trade any of that for the world, but i would love 100k in the bank…

If i could introduce europa universalis to some old people who like history, it would probably ruin their lives…

Im convinced they already have the porn history on like every guy out there. Can you imagine what that could do?
I want the whole version of that

And apparently thr fundees really like blue eyes…

Youre absolutely right. I would like to add in the “reddit” model. Why things make it to the front page is kind of the same comment. Two people could post the same thing at the same time. One goes viral and to the front page where millions will see it, one might get 10 views. One comment on a post, when funny, right in the before that post takes off, can get 30k likes. Its all timing and being the one that gets initially off the ground. Ive always wondered though, how easy would it be for reddit to pick the winners and losers? Bot accounts and fake upvotes, even just a little bit in the beginning, could put it on “trending” and get it to the front page and the “algorithm” could put it in everyone’s feed. Are you seeing what naturally won or what they wanted you to see? Did facebook naturally win or was it what they wanted to win?..

Did you know, the government of any country can do this for any service? Government sponsered amazon anyone?

There is something to be said about institutions though. When more people are part of what seems to be an upstanding institution, the more they are inclined to protect the secret in order to protect the institution and its reputation. There are a lot of examples of this. For instance the catholic church, penn state, the trump oligarchy, nasa…

What we need to do is basically have a movement to tell any politician that if they approve any military budget above 1b, we will not elect them next election. We need a movement of actually voting for sane people with sane policy. Everyone is all “crazy grandpa has a gun and hes trying to destroy everything”. Well, crazy grandpa just asked for 1.5 trillion dollars to buy more shit to mess more shit up. Don’t give him any money. If a crazy person walked up to you and said, “give me 1.5 trillion to mess everything up” no one would give them that money. Lets instead maybe invest in education? Healthcare? Social saftey nets?
This is absolutely right. Money to them isnt a tool for comfort and happiness, its simply a byproduct of power and exploitation of that power. These people dont want to be able to go into a bar and buy anything they want, they want to go into the bar and buy the whole thing and the street its on. Youre the consumer just wanting enough grass to munch on, they are the predator plotting behind you.

Its worse than that. The whole car usually runs through that computer, so when it goes out the whole car goes out and is expensive to replace.

Anyone else worry that young people are going to ask “where were you april 8th 2026?” in 20 years?

That is what they are shutting down. It was just a way to try to advertise stuff.
“Seriously, Bill, is that all necessary?”
Radio is a dying market that’s going away like so many other things. They don’t know what to play anymore. My car picks my phones Bluetooth up when I turn my car on and I can play anything I want. Radio stations dont know what to do because what’s classic rock anymore? They’ll play like a nickleback song, then back in black by AC DC and then… here’s pink floyd simply because they dont know what to play. Talk Radio with a million commercials can’t compete with podcasts. No one cares about top 50 stations anymore. What’s left? And who even cares? Car dealerships lose because now they can’t yell at you about deals that don’t really exsist.
