I don’t know why they downvotes. Parallel play isn’t for everyone but it’s a great idea to try, neurodivergent or not, to see if that satisfies both parties on feeling they spent some quality time together.
And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend, I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.

They’ve even got a homemade tank and set up roadblocks in an attempt to stop the gunmen, who are said to be responsible for a rise in homicides locally.
Holy homemade tank batman!!
We had an old manual Ford Escort that we had drilled the ignition out of and put a switch in instead. No one figured it out without us telling them (friends family borrowing). Ours wasn’t even really hidden, just unexpected… thieves rarely want to spend extra time and effort on unexpecteds.

2·3 months agoPhew! I hoped that had come off as snarky and fun. Hard to tell with text.
I’m fairly crafty but I may need some tips from that uncle of yours.

52·3 months agoNot where I live. All those charges for the use of their electricity here. I definitely do not have space to set up my own personal nuclear reactor on my patio. Not even sure I could scavenge enough free materials to build it, even if I found free designs/blueprints.
Curious, I think what you call lorries are what we call a semi (semi-truck). Ours mostly use diesel fuel. Do yours take petrol instead?
… or did I just think way to hard into a joke
I try to do similar for our kitchen but one of mine just lays there and takes it at the ‘line’ between rooms. He is super food oriented so he’ll put up with anything to stay in the area. BTW I also train my cats to do tricks for treats, food oriented ones are the easiest to get to cooperate with that idea.
I also like to go around and wake everyone up midday when I take lunch (I work from home). Helps make them want to sleep, at least a little, at night instead of staying up being noisy assholes.

For a lighthearted glimpse into the later years of his crazy shit see The Road to Wellville
Edit… guess I don’t know how to use italics
Lotta party poopers in these comments. I’m with you. Many indicators this is a flat, painted picture if a driver is paying attention and going appropriate speeds.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is a movie that "looks like" it would suck, but actually is well written and acted and a good time?English
9·1 year agoI mentioned this one on another post. It’s good enough I’m gonna throw it out there again. Kung Fu Mahjongg. All 3. …and Kung Fu Hustle
Edit to add, thier whole troop is amazing. Silly stories made amazingly entertaining, due to the charismatic cast and, creative and well executed choreography.

11·1 year agoTucker and Dale vs. Evil! Amazing movie! I put it on one day just so I could check it off my list of new things out and, figured if I love the Evil Dead series (and also, as someone else mentioned in the thread, the Re-Animator) how awful could this be… it wasn’t. It was fantastic.
Enjoyed Little Evil too. So, I’m putting Colossal on my list right now!

Hello and welcome! I didn’t see a couple things mentioned that I thought were very helpful to me with the instance choosing, so I just wanted to pass it along…
If you look at your account kinda like an email, all the emails can communicate with each other, just like the instances can communicate. Though, an instance can also block another so thay it can not be seen/interacted with. Like, gmail deciding they will no longer accept yahoomail, for example.
.ml has been blocked by a variety of others, so you may be missing out on some interests elsewhere, that you would enjoy.
I use an app and have a few different accounts, the app lets me just swap my sign in profiles back and forth as I like. Sometimes a server goes down or an update goes bad. Having another account let’s you check in on the action, on those who are still up and running while the other gets worked on. You can even use the same name, your @ will just change.
Initial sign up is roughest step really… but not much harder than grabbing a new email!
OK, that was more than a couple, hopefully something was helpful though and helps your experience here!

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's one of your favorite genres of music and what's your favorite thing about it?English
1·2 years agoI came back here to see if there were new additions, since I came across the post early on. I also really enjoy funk, with a favorite being Primus, well, anything Les Claypool really (His stuff with Sean Lennon, much more …trippy rock?, with Claypool Lennon Delirium, still excellent). They are a really heavy lil corner of the funk/rock spectrum though.
I am def going to check out some bubblegum funk now, it sounds like it should be an opposite spectrum sound experience!
So, thank you for allowing me to suckle on your presence a bit?

I have straight up written in viable candidates in previous, and current local, elections. I have helped friends and family start campaigns for local seats that had ran unopposed.
This one is different at the presidential level. If you can’t see that you have too much privilege to think you can take what will come out of it. Women, minorities, handicap, Trans and gay folk will lose what human rights we are hanging onto while we wait for straight white men to fight it out and give it back again.
Not everyone is physically capable of going into a civil war and fighting for their rights in the streets.
I see a lot of shit talk all over this site but no actionable change showing up in the real world. All this resistance talk is starting to get real old and really sounding more and more like utter bullshit the more it’s all over every political post that’s made, but no viable plan laid out on what’s being done and what steps to take.
So, vote them out. Push for your local areas reform and campaign for a 3rd party replacement that do what the people want.
A maggat republican will go the step further and make a law against it to be brought up for future elections if they think it will ensure their grip.
I really don’t care what party affiliation a representative wants to have. The problem is that too many are easy to figure out they only care about money when they choose to go under our current pairing. We should always look at a candidates stance on issues, the follow through they’ve had in their past positions, and that they are representing the people’s wishes.

Ah, I see. It was only a “you might” so I suppose I didn’t quite see it as diagnosing they way I am used to seeing it done from other post experiences. But, understandable.
