Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•if you were to do something, resulting in prison sentence, what would it be?
14·3 years agoSomething piracy related… I’m an avid movie/tv pirate and get family members onto IPTV and my Plex server. I stick to my limits of family members only though and don’t make any money from it

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•why isn't there an option for "soft adblock" for subscribed yt channels?
14·3 years agoI think the point is to not waste time and get straight to the video. If I’m watching a black screen, I may aswel have something to look at while I’m waiting
Is it possible to have a shared album where I can edit/delete and they can only upload?
This looks good, thank you I will use this
It’s purely for getting all our photos together in full quality. I will not be using this as cloud storage. And I also have backblaze running on my pc so hopefully that’s backed up too

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is it possible to directly post to a Lemmy instance with your domain name?English
2·3 years agoYou’d have to use a full instance either way, so if you somehow got your own domain using another instance, you’d still be relying on their instance.
It’s basically joining an instance but with extra steps

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is it possible to directly post to a Lemmy instance with your domain name?English
3·3 years agoWhy not join an instance in this case? Let someone else handle running the instance and you post from whatever client you’d like?
I think you’ll need to fork the lemmy UI and make the changes

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How do you deal with passwords? Password manager? Txt file? Do you use biometrics on devices that have them?English
1·3 years agoWhat benefit could it be to Google for them to have access to your user and passwords?
Genuinely curious, I use bitwarden myself but can’t see Google using their password manager for nefarious reasons
If it’s possible to block an entire instance, block the lemmynsfw one

But you get it for free, I assume the costs are covered
