Yeah, Mitch Hedberg was great. Steven Wright as well for those short, odd, clever jokes.

I like the kind that is either non stop puns or long weird/funny stories that have lots of setup for relatively fewer, but larger, payoffs.
Like at the wrong part of the joke? Too loud? Too long? Ho

2·9 days agoNice app. Very intuitive and does not get in the way. I don’t see the integrations tab in my settings like in the immich integration vid. I am very interested in that feature.
Hot All is the only way for me. Keeps it fresher longer.

15·1 month agoSeamless with ha, reolink and frigate. Reolink itself works with ha natively but I like it with frigate better. It is all offline. No online set up or accounts at all.

Linux@lemmy.ml•KDE Linux deep dive: package management is amazing, which is why we don’t include it
9·1 month agoI think that is what they were going for. The article has some rationalizations for their decisions. I’m not their target audience but like you say I do see the appeal. I do like the system img roll back features though. I think a lot of new to medium users don’t back up properly and then get frustrated at breaking changes.

13·1 month agoflatpak based arch distro with no traditional package manager, just a “store” gui app
Cool thanks!
I had a VCR and remember tv guide. What did these codes do.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What happened that caused you to call emergency services for the first time?
3·2 months agoIt was an argument across the street from a bar I was working at. I had just kicked out the two main guys and then their friends left to across the street and they all started fighting. Less than a minute after the first punch was thrown one of the principals pulled his gun and fired 5 or six shots. He didn’t hit anyone and was assholes to elbows close with about ten people. Everyone fled. No one was hurt. Cops came by about 45 minutes to an hour later. Didn’t even stop. Just slowed down, saw there was no longer a disturbance and went on their way. Not too exciting. All three times I’ve called the cops (doesn’t include calling when I was a mandatory reporter) it was because of gunfire

I’ve used this the last 8 days and have really liked it. Takes away some of the friction to journaling.
