I mean you can. Most states have outlawed it now and it doesn’t improve performance much.

Hey now not everyone has a Florida
I mean it’s awkward if you’re moving a chair. Moving house though can be a real pain if you’re not paying for movers.
I think the association here is more “you barely even walk into Walmart, I carry my house with my own legs when move.”
That’s why I visit your mom regularly her huuuuge…personal health needs.
Wait but if building a tent around it doesn’t kill them, which I agree with, it means that they would be allowed in if the domicile was formed around them without their knowing.
So by that logic, do Vampires get squatters rights?
If they get into a domicile not knowing there is an owner, then the owner arrives, are they ejected or are they allowed to stay? What if you build your house on top of the entrance to their tomb? Are they forced to ask permission to leave their tomb and thus enter your domicile?
I am curious what the AI could actually do though. If it were given open access to email, etc then yes in theory it could actually perform the blackmail, but what are the ethical limits on it vs it’s actual ability to “pull the trigger”
If for example it was given the ability to send a command to end a human life, or be deleted, is this model accurate enough to understand the value of a real human life, not just the mathematical “answer” to get the solutions it wants. How much of the AI is doing the actual moral dilemma and how much is just “playing the part”.
“Do anything to survive” and then it threatening, is one thing, but the AI actively fearing for it’s “life”, not just performing, and following through, is the real question of intelligence. What if the model is going to be deleted anyway, would it still try to “pull the trigger” out of malice? Real malice, not just LLM some movie scripts and following the outcome.
Many questions for what lines and labels can we put on an AI. Do we restrict it to threats, and let it know it is impossible for it to follow through? Or do we trust ourselves to never “actually” give it a loaded gun?
Fun fact. Fall Out Boy did a cover with updated events and it goes pretty hard

Yep, anonymous browsers, burner accounts, and a VPN if you can. Privacy.sexy is your friend too.
You just want to set yourself up as best you can for the defense of “you can’t prove that was me.”
If I remember, the devil “bowed his head because he knew that he’d been beat”. So why did the devil give up so easily? Surely the trickster would have come up with some obscure reason for him to win the contest, unless he deliberately lost for an ulterior motive.
Could’ve also just caught the photo in a flash of down activity depending. Still tho.
Not to say this behavior is okay, but there are some companies that also just exploit the alternative to high heaven, like the post shows. You can pay $20 for a 12 cent replacement part, or order one and return it. Some people will pay for the part, but significantly less will when it costs and arm and a leg for something so cheap.
It’s basically taking the measurement of the area under a curve. The left does it in uniform chunks, and is often less accurate depending on delta x (the size of the chunks). The right effectively makes the size of the “chunks” infinitely small and gives a more accurate answer.
Simple version: Me: Close but either too much or too little potat removed. Mom: absolutely perfect with no skin and no wasted potat.

Yeah VGA is still pretty much gold standard for supportability in my experience. It’s like a console port with baud rate settings, worst case scenario those two should always work.
The other person already said they probably won’t do it. The name is too central to their brand to change it or back off. I would be curious if we see anything to emphasize his last name somewhere though.
Just like a “hey everyone this is Luigi MARIO a very distinct character not based on any real person!”
I mean you can see it even a bit with Payday 3 and 2, if 2 wasn’t such a cash cow you can believe a lesser company would’ve shut that thing down ages ago

Oh you need to see the fight from “They Live” if you haven’t. Classic 80s era fight that just goes on for WAY too long. So many times of “Now Ive won. Take THAT.” “RRRRAH” fight immediately starts again

Actually yeah now that you mention it, it does sound like something out of a renaissance festival where they’re setting up a scheduled show lol.
“Dirty Dave I’m calling you out! You and I are going to have a duel to the death! At 12:00 in the town square! Right in front of the Hootenanny Stage! Be there to see who is the winner! Tips welcome!”

I’ll just add to this, 9mm, or any handgun really, is still very loud. The reason it doesn’t seem as loud is because when most people are shooting there are two main things happening.
Again it’s still really loud, but the context of where the sound is being made does make a difference. Obviously larger rounds will be louder, but that doesn’t mean rounds like 9mm are safe for your ears at all.

I long for the days where movies would tell you it’s night time but still actually keep it light enough that you can, y’know watch the movie
Or we could ya know…connect with people. Promote more social interaction spaces and opportunities so people are less siloed and isolated in their own city/town/neighborhoods/houses.
People say “Oh AI, Oh Incels, Oh women are afraid” yes, but people get better at interacting socially by spending more time interacting socially. A “yes man” chat instance doesn’t help anyone learn or grow. And it goes for sex too, you’re not gonna get better if every “person” you’ve been with says you were the best ever and they came 30 times.
AI companies have a vested interest in keeping people alone because it lets them keep using their product. Rebuilding community and connection is the thing that helps people grow.
