Theres also, less commonly, neurodivergent traits that make phone calls very overwhelming, such as autistic folk’s over analysis of how they may sound, what they say and the tone and other characteristics of the person on the other side, or ADHD folk’s executive dysfunction, effectively preventing ease in taking a phone call in the first place, and many other neurotypes having differing traits.

It’s not an issue of people being scared by phone calls most of the time, it can simply be apathy, inconvenience, and other aspects that prevent genuinely wanting to take a phone call.

For myself, I hate phone calls unless I’m on a commute with people I know since I know I won’t be disturbing them by calling someone else, or at times I have nothing provisioned for a specific time of day. Honestly, I’ve been planning to install it on my media laptop for a while and I think I’ve found the perfect excuse for myself to do it; yesterday I turned it on to the windows 11 data recovery screen, which took an hour to fix the damn thing.

I have actually installed CachyOS on one of my spares and it’s pretty damn good so far, and it’s a really shitty speced school laptop from a couple years back.

What I am concerned about though is the fact my media laptop is an Asus vivobook 15 with screenpad, and I’m not awfully sure if the GPU (mx250) would be as fast as it currently is under windows (or work at all), as well as if the screenpad would work as a touch monitor or a regular touchpad, since I’m not sure which I’d prefer honestly.

I don’t think emails are the best source of personalised information nor would assist in training new Gemini models unless they want to build an email spam bot.

NotebookLM and it’s feature to make videos based on sources the user provides generates a full video, and it’s 1 click unless the user wants to add a prompt for the video. A dead giveaway for this full video being generated is the thumbnail, which is from the classic visual style preset and is usually the first slide.

There is also the NotebookLM watermark in the bottom right, which is also a giveaway.

I haven’t watched the video at all but from the thumbnail it’s a NotebookLM video. The only time I would remotely trust or even recognise an AI video is if I choose to generate one, even then though, they’re usually shit.

fuuuucckkk I wish we had more websites designed like this again, this was so much better than the gigantic amount of padding, animations and other random ass elements just for a website that’s bland as fuck that we have today.

I gotta say, I was among the Twitter Marxist crowd around 3 years ago,and yeah most are just talk, yap and argue, although there were some genuinely making something good, such as a community library or benches for instance. I’d say none of them would switch to the fediverse in any actual capacity, because most just believe in the asthetics and being in the community of like-minded people, instead of actually following the values they allegedly preach, but really don’t even know.
