Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Who are the good guys in the Israel/Palestine conflict?
121·1 year agoWhile you sound reasonable, your mistake seems to be to believie that Judaism is the same as Zionism. It is not. It is completely not. They are inherently incompatible. Learn about it or don’t. I’m not some kind of theological scholar or history professor. Maybe ask your local Rabbi about it.
Anyway, sorry to sound like some kind of an extremist to you, but violence is (at the moment) 100% the only answer. Not against the Jewish people, but against the fascist, zionist apartheid regime, who is committing genocide, right now, right before your eyes. Every day, bless you too.

235·1 year agooh right, totally forgot about those poor people who lived and partied next to the concentration camp and then got either kidnapped by people who wanted to break out of the concentration camp or were killed by the IDF. let’s all show a bit more empathy! 😥
palestinians tried “throwing flowers and slogans” for decades, only to get shot by the most moral snipers. it doesnt matter what he really meant or what he believes, he is the “master of a terrorist state” by his own definition, thats all, kinda funny. i know zionists dont care about morale, international laws or whatever, but if he lives long enough, they should play that clip in the trials.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a trait you look for in potential partners that seems uniquely in your trait wishlist?
121·1 year agoNot trying to give relationship advice, but have you considered that your 1st criterias should be “has hobbys/interests and their shit somewhat together”? with the full-time job criteria, you could ironically filter out a perfect fit and end up with the same kind of person again, without realizing it.

11·1 year agono worries ❤️ it was a weird way to say it, ive actually never met anyone who says they “refuse” it. but honestly the ones who want to, can be frustrating and even depressing i mean sure, its never a disadvantage to speak english, but imagine this kind of convo dozens of times [context: i live in vietnam]
why you want to learn it? - i want to work in [european county where english is not an official language and labour/immigration laws only allow high skilled workers for specific positions which cannot be filled with ppl from shengen countries]
what do you wanna work there? - customer service
then should i be the asshole who destroys their dreams or the asshole who plays along and feeds their delusions? so if someone is just not interested or is maybe learning korean/japanese/chinese (which probably will be way more useful for them regarding career stuff) its simply a plus for me.

93·1 year agoi mean i would not refuse anyone who speaks or wants to learn english. i have friends to help them with that (as best as i can, meaning helping practicing, not teaching). but idk, where i live there seems to be a certain type of person who wants to learn it, and they often tend to have some unreasonable expectations regarding how it will improve their lives. no judgment or anything, but i also try to learn a fucking language here (which turns out to be WAY more difficult than one might expect) and the more i hangout with english speakers the less i learn, because we just fall back to english. so over the years some kind of appreciation for people who simply have no interest in english seems to have emerged.

115·1 year agonot really a trait, but the lack of interest or refusal to learn english is a huge plus.
very reasonable, but i think one should keep in mind that sometimes seeing things by mere accident can mess a child up. not going into details, but when i was a kid i wanted to torrent flash (the program to do animation stuff). well, it wasnt flash what i downloaded, it was a collection of photos. photos which haunt me to this day.
i dont have children, but the “patental control” feature of nextdns improved my own mental health a LOT. probably would not use it on my kids tho, they wouldnt even know something like the internet exists lol.
if i open a site that ive opened x times this week/month a popup appears that says “no” then the pc shuts down and cannot be turned on for 3 hours.

for email there is an easy solution. create a shared alias on addy, confirm it as your recovery email, forget the alias 👌
but even 14 years seems long for a pharase that is said and written millions of times per day. and if those crackers can make billions of guesses per second how can they not guess both variants within minutes?
related question. how to make a good password bettter? adding a few extra special symbols like “µ£₹” or one long word like “freshwatercrocodiletesticles”?
i also dont really get it. the bitwarden pw tester says it will take 14 years to crack “its.a.beautiful.day”, write beautiful with 2 t`s and it will take “centuries”? 🧐
but yes i still use them. but always with numbers and random characters in between and words from multiple languages or fantasy words.
