Technology@lemmy.world•SIM binding in India: What it means for WhatsApp, Telegram users and why the government wants itEnglish
2·6 days agoWhat can you really do when your phone number automatically gets blocked when calling and people will automatically assume you are sketchy when they hear your accent.
And I follow tons of Indian academic content, they tend to explain really difficult concept really easily. I even understand their language so theres that.
I get 3x more downvotes compared to upvotes for speaking truthfully and I am just doing fine
What? It mattered in Reddit? Are you sure its that same Reddit?

Linux@lemmy.ml•What are the best reasons people have given you for not wanting to try Linux?
6·13 days agoThe best reason is the simplest one. People have job where they rely on a piece of software. If you took years to master something like Adobe Photoshop and later switched to linux only for all that to go away and you being forced to use something different like Gimp, you would 100% be pissed off

92·22 days agoThank god. I would’ve ditched Android for good if this went through, and while it sounds like it would be annoying for casual users to enable unverified apps, at least we can still install them.
You would have ditched Android for ios if it were implemented?
