There is no way to play CD audio in the background on an X Box anymore. It used to be in Groove Music, and then supposedly in Windows Media Player, but I can’t find either of those in the store.

Your are poorly mistaken. There are plenty of gorey pictures and videos of lots of dead and dying protesters in Tiennemen Square from that day. Thousands were killed according to many witnesses.

Most of the time it’s more economical to tear them down than to convert them. The plumbing work needed is probably the most expensive part but then you only have windows along the outside walls. I suppose you could have large common areas in the center.
