As a GURU enjoyer/maintainer, I conclude to be on the far right of that graph

3·4 months agoThe suggestions in the comments are all nice, but the biggest game changer for me was nushell. Once you understand how it works there is no going back. I have saved so many hours already.
294 Github stars, I guess your marketing is fine
I don’t get that ‘Gentoo takes forever’ argument. With todays hardware it’s really a non-issue. Just let the updates compile in the background while you do other stuff. My Arch install broke several times, not so my Gentoo. Also, the Gentoo community is really kind and don’t treat you like an idiot for not knowing something.
For me, the lack of shaders was always the main turnoff. It looks so bad compared to Minecraft with shaders.

I can only recommend niri!
any bridge that uses Appservice requires a self-hosted Matrix server
that’s about the official IRC bridge, but Heisenbridge is a third party that is still allowed. The only downside is you need to self-host Matrix and Heisenbridge, which is a no-go for me. I think I saw beeper promoting that they bridge to IRC but apparently they no longer do
didn’t they have an IRC bridge (Heisenbridge) to libera.chat? That’s the main reason why I put myself on the wait list and now when I open the app IRC is not supported…?

The hex color code is the error code. Smart!
