dunno how it is where you live but gardening collectives are a great place to meet a lot of different folks (no class distinctions in the garden, i always say), get some rewarding exercise and fresh air, and often free fruits and veggies that taste so much better than store-bought stuff. i also improved my language skills significantly when i joined one in a foreign country! older ladies (the larger demographic i encountered) are always happy and patient to help you practice.

David Bowie. I still miss him a lot. I usually don’t even really know the names and faces of bands I like, and I wasn’t even a big knower of his music, but when I heard he died I cried non stop for a day and a night. He was really something else, this crazy force, changing the whole discourse in music and stardom multiple times in his life. What an awe inspiring character. I wonder who could ever take his place, really.

Saw another post about an arrest of a pro-P Feddit mod, and generally about DE siding with Israel to bizzarre/dystopic lengths. Didn’t know they had hostages in the mix as well. Could that be a reason? Relying on Israel force to get them freed? Hm. *format edit
