Some searx instances have Tor as well ¯_(ツ)_/¯ But yeah, fair enough. I personally wouldn’t thrust a site with a massive dildo on the frontpage but to each their own haha

Why not just use searxng or startpage?
Uh… The spoiler didn’t work for me. Good thing I’m not in public 😂 Also - WTF? Why??

Technology@lemmy.world•What Happened To Duracell PowerCheck?English
5·1 year agoIf you watch the whole video he does it more “for real” later on, plugging the casing into a power source to simulate a battery discharging… Plus I’ve had some of these PowerCheck batteries, and they were not old, it was like… 2017? So maybe they rebooted it for a short time at some point?? Anywho, if you pressed really hard it did work I think, but also I think I was doing it wrong for a long time as well lol

1·2 years agoI mean the mods and admins won’t all go away at once, right? It’s probably gonna be gradual, so maybe the existing mods can keep any new/replacing mods in check? I dunno…
Plus, do you think maybe a donation model could be viable for platforms like this? It’s split over multiple instances so surely at least the smaller ones could be ran off of donation money?

13·2 years agoDo you think maybe it’ll be different with a federated and thus less centralized platform like Lemmy? Or do you think it will just delay this process? Cause right now lemmy and kbin seem to be pretty good.
Sync for Lemmy, on Android. Tbh for some reason spoiler tags seem generally somewhat unreliable on Sync. Either way don’t worry about it too much.
