Ohh no no no.
Coffee will help. Make no mistake. However it won’t fix it.
It’s like bringing a bucket of water to a drought. It will help but not by much.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•(Solved) Can't avoid native Linux version from GOG with Heroic on Steam Deck
54·4 months agoI will never understand why it’s better to emulate windows to play a game on Linux instead of just using the Linux version.
If the Linux version is 1.01 and the windows one is 2.5 I get it but normally that’s not the case with GOG.
The issue for me is when I have it enabled and try to connect to a site that doesn’t support it fully (same thing / half assed) and the site doesn’t work properly. For home its my wife and kids that complain, when its the office then everyone complains. I get the blame for failed connections or things not working right when a fully compliant IPv6 site works just fine.
Now I am not perfect so It could be me but I have read up and learned as much as possible. No expert but I did deploy DHCPv6 in a test environment. However there is no reason as of yet to deploy DHCPv6 locally since the address space is so wide. Just saying Its possible that the issue is me but from my understanding its like the U.S.A. switching to metric. Parts of us tried it but others didn’t and thus we failed as a giant group.
I think there needs to be a big ass push and force everyone to switch as the same time. I know some of the old devices may not work however those devices have to be 20+ years by now.

263·7 months agoI know i would get made fun of for this but a good price is a good price. I would pay $15,000 for one. I think most people would.
Edit 2 min later - I thought better of it. No i still wouldn’t want it. I wouldn’t trust Tesla not to hack it at some point and take it over.

World News@lemmy.ml•Hegseth finally pops bubble of illusion: 'No NATO for Ukraine'
1712·10 months agoYeah. You put about 3 times the effort on your first point but have a shit ton of sources for your second. Doesn’t add up.
Also Robert Mueller was prevented from looking into the money trail during the investigation that’s why he found nothing. Puppet… maybe not but influenced absolutely. Why the heck would the US government do a 180 on our stance of helping Ukraine after President Trump was elected. “We will still maybe kinda possibly help you but you have to give us your rare minerals and be willing to lose land”
This guy doesn’t want to help Americans. Only those who have tons of money. Anything to help line his pockets and his friends.
He has shut down all information flow for health and scientific research. This means we’re sitting in the dark about potential pandemics and deadly diseases. Mpox and the strain of bird flue being the top two at the moment of many people’s list. This doesn’t even touch the measles outbreak in Texas. Measles had essentially been eradicated, but thanks for the anti-VAX push from the right We’re now dealing with something that the prior generations had worked very hard to eliminate.

World News@lemmy.ml•Hegseth finally pops bubble of illusion: 'No NATO for Ukraine'
227·10 months agoThat’s a lot of stuff about President Trump and the elections but nothing as far as I see about the bipartisan stance that Ukraine isn’t going to join NATO.

I actually do when I am using my car that doesn’t have a smart system/android auto/carplay. The reason is that it will ping/vibrate my watch when I am getting close to a turn or action. That way I know something is coming up. Thats about the only time I use it.
