61·17 days agoYep but the common person doesnt want to install anything they juat want to buy sonething and plug it in. Thats why desktop linux wont happen untill they can go into a store and buy it on hardware and stream machine is the closest we have in this day and age for that to happen.

261·17 days agoThe weird part is I think a lot of the disappointment comes from a lot of people with even high-end gaming systems wanted this to be the thing that replaces it just because they hate windows so much and because it wasn’t as powerful they couldn’t just buy this box and it would just do it

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are your preferred alternatives to Amazon?English
21·1 month agoSo with EBay you have the problem of drop shippers they basicly buy it on Amazon up the price and send it directly to you.
Is creglist even a viable option? i think Facebook Marketplace has basically destroyed their marketplace section.
Buying through facebook is like saying dont want to buy from this bad guy and then straight up buying from the devil himself.
Buying directly from the manufactur is always a good option unfortunately they dont have too many sales to not undercut their retail partners.

71·2 months agoYeah but i got the whole game back then publishers increase the price already invisibly with DLC, cosmetics, Battlepasses. micro transactions, etc. Now they want both sell you half a game at an inflated price in comparison to the avg consumer wage and paywall the other half with casino style tactics.
