Looks like I finally found a purpose to live
For me, the suicide-related data is so hard to measure and so open for debates, that I’d treat it separately, or not include it at all, if using death count as an argument against llms, since it’s a breach for deviating the debate.

Just like companies embracing ai and messing up to the point of catastrophic failures

Your computer very likely doesn’t need a special distro for low end devices yet. A common distro like linux mint will do fine, and that’s probably the best choice if you’re new to linux.
Edit: if you only want to host stuff on it, and nothing else, maybe that yunohost people recommended can be a better choice

We can just use an AI to describe the images /s

I have been using the option to restrict to older dates quite often, in order to get good results

It’s hard for me to understand how people in movements like repairability, anti obsolescence, open source, open hardware, and similar causes, can have such views. It seems so contradictory… and yet, so common.

My mom always said when she had to see unavoidable ads:
“The money they spent making those ads, they could have used to reduce the prices instead!”
It’s funny to see her getting angry and reacting like that every time
I see you already got the answers you need, so I just came to welcome you to the linux community, and wish you good luck.
In the beginning, it will be a bit hard, because changing things we’re used to is always hard, but give it some time, and you get the long-term benefits, which, in my opinion, are very worth it. Among a few things, you will experience no arbitrary interruptions to your device usage, will have lower hardware requirements, your devices will last longer, will have to deal with much less bullshit, and will even have more free time (unless you become one who likes to spend time tinkering with the system lol)

This is so awesome!
Doctors, euthanize me, please!
That would just make me feel fear and loneliness

Congrats!

if they take the water and don’t return to the source, there will be less available water in the water body, and it can lead to scarcity. If they take it and return, but at a higher temperature, or along with pollutants, it can impact the life in the water body. If they treat the water before returning, to be closest to the original properties, there will be little impact, but it means using more energy and resources for the treatment

OR because the elites don’t like the things that make people proud of, and want to force their version of patriotism into everyone

You’re not a dinosaur. Making people feel old and out of the trend is exactly one of the strategies used by big techs to shove their stuff into people.

They’re just entering a market owned by a few big players. One simply can’t come out with a high end product out of nowhere. Maybe it’s not even the goal
If you want something out from the ordinary, maybe build a retro gaming/tech museum and make it open for the public. You can even host events like gaming competitions, or thematic presentations. Charge a small make up for the costs, and maybe you can even make it your living later in life.
