I’d second this. Victoria metrics and Victoria logs is orders of magnitude better than Prometheus and Loki. However, I’d switch fluent for Vector for logs collection.

I wouldn’t say the privacy issues are moot when running public services, as metadata is quite valuable. Cloudflare will get a lot of information like who your visitors are, how often they visit, how long are they staying on a page yada yada

This tempted me to try it. But I couldn’t get it to work in my homelab where outbound traffic is completely blocked. Any chance we can get a completely offline version of this?

Nice work! This was the reason I moved my homelab stack to k8s with Cilium.

It’s great, I spent 2 years finding perfect CSI for homelab and landed on Piraeus. The best part is you get full read performance of your local disk so I didn’t have to use 10G, write are limited by network link between nodes. But that hasn’t been a problem for me. Also, they’re super responsive for any issues/bugs you hit.
