I have an opinion about Bill Burr in particular. I was a faithful listener of his podcast for many years but I stopped a couple months ago because it was getting extremely repetitive. Every episode, he would go on the same rant about how billionaires are the source of most of America’s problems - which is something I wholeheartedly agree with, but I listened to his podcast for a brief comedic escape from the world, not for the same political discussions that pop up everywhere else.
So when I heard he accepted a direct payment of a huge sum of money from the very people he’s constantly argued are the #1 enemies, I felt surprised and betrayed. I just don’t believe he’s in a position to take the “soft power” stance when he’s receiving money from the very royal family that’s the cause of so many human rights issues in that country. Not gonna be supporting any of his work anymore.

He’s beyond lame, he’s a Zionist who just sits around all day and starts internet beef with people on his podcast.
Sucks because he used to actually make great videos

Nah pretty much everyone was in agreement that the new logo was worse, what do you me-
a sample of 52,000 posts made on X
Ah yes, the defunct site that is mostly bots so that Muskrat can continue to earn ad revenue NaziBucks
similar conversations were happening on the alt-tech platforms like Donald Trump’s Truth Social, Twitter knock-offs Gettr and Gab
Ah yes, the sites that use amplification bots to keep their users riled up and strengthen the echo chamber

Be sure to put things through an AI detector to avoid being filtered out for sounding like AI
This is real? So corporations are allowed to use AI to write job listings and process resumes, but we’re not allowed to use it to help write our resumes?

Happens to me way too often. I wish the loading indicator that web browsers have didn’t settle until EVERYTHING finished rendering but I guess that’s technically impossible with JavaScript stuff

I still work in tech, but I’m incredibly selective about the jobs I take, and I’ll never work in corporate tech again
What exactly do you mean by this? I’ve also wanted to get out of tech but have zero experience in anything else so idk what to do

Yeah but I don’t think that’s marketing, if you’re going to a con for something, you’re likely very passionate about it and passionate people love to scoop up everything they can that relates to their beloved hobby or franchise.
Also, nerds tend to have a good amount of disposable income on that stuff

I highly recommend spending a couple bucks on Vinegar, it blocks ads and allows for PiP

There is on Fortnite, it consistently has ~12k concurrent users

As for actual lying, with HR and AI HR hiring, its about getting in front of a person so they can actually find out your skills
But then what do you do once you get in front of an actual person and they ask you something about a lie you put in to appease the AI?

Ah, ok. What a strange default. Almost makes me think they chose that as the default to be rage bait

The fairness meter at the bottom of the article is absurd. “Unfair left leaning” like yes, how dare the libtards use statistics to show how broken our economy is

Surely there’s some sort of sandboxing that could be done? Like start by disallowing sys calls entirely

I’m so weird about this. If I’m sitting or slightly reclined, I can sleep fine without a blanket. Once I’m horizontal, 100% need a blanket
For the ones that have hazing rituals, pecking orders, and 80+ active members, yeah I agree with you.
I joined a small (~20 active members) STEM major fraternity and it was incredible. No one took it too seriously and it was just treated like a social club, which is all a fraternity is really supposed to be. It was a great way to quickly meet people with shared interests, which yeah, you don’t need a fraternity to do that, but it made things much easier for introverted, socially anxious me. Plus, STEM majors aren’t exactly the type to chat with people next to them before lecture

Man, I love Louis but your complaint about rambling is so valid. It only caters to the people who already agree with him and scares away people who would otherwise be convinced by the same points delivered in a better manner
Edit: since the other summaries aren’t really helpful imo, Louis is saying that Clippy is representative of a time when Microsoft software worked perfectly fine without an internet connection and served to simply help you get work done instead of use you as a revenue source
For me, anything dragonfruit flavored
For seemingly everyone else in my life, they had a bad experience with Fireball when they were young and didn’t know how to pace themselves yet, which sucks because I unironically like Fireball
