The 90s kid in me yearns for a phone with Fm radio, headphone jack, IR blaster, stylus, memory card slot, slide out keyboard and one of those click on projectors the Motorola phones used to have. I would call it the Donatello and it would be radical.

I want to do the same thing but I’ve read that it’s not a good idea to put opnsense and home assistant on the same machine “you don’t want your router restarting when home assistant restarts.” Is this not an issue of they are run in proxmox vms?
Try it, you might be pleasantly surprised! It’s not true surround but the z506 will do some sort of “virtual surround” using the red and white cable and splits the stereo into surround channels. ,
Doesn’t z506 also have red and white rca connectors? I’ve had my tv connected to those and the PC connected to the 3.5 jacks for years. Both audio streams play on top of each other but I just mute or stop the PC sounds using an IR remote

I mean WFH was literally impossible for a lot of jobs until broadband internet and personal computers became ubiquitous in the average workers home in the last decade or so. That’s part of why yor boss felt entitled to all that, but I see the rest of your points
Each tweet also shares the approx fuel used, cost of that fuel, and most importantly, CO2 released into the atmosphere with each flight. All that info isn’t as accessible to non flight enthusiasts with only a call sign.
Lemmy/mastodon for mindless browsing has replaced reddit/Twitter for me. For specific research/googling on a niche topic, I still find reddit threads popping up all the time so I’ll still click those to learn more, but they web browser only.
