Leviathan is also a beautiful name.
Ich habe überlegt, das so darzustellen, aber Euler war Schweizer. Da würde das R sehr viel deutlicher betont werden als im Hochdeutsch von Deutschland.
With an English understanding of spelling, just say “Oiler”
You do have an accent. It’s the same accent as everyone around you. There is no speech without accent.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•"United States" in French (États-Unis) would have made a very confusing acronym
2·2 months agoNo, but close. Comment means how.
So you have discovered how french functions.
This term goes back to the 1968 Prague spring.
It was an uprising, an attempt by the Czechoslovak communist party at reformation towards more democracy and freedom of the press. Then troops from other members of the Warsaw pact marched in and subdued it.
From then on, communists who supported more democracy and freedom called the pro-quelling communists “tankies” as they marched in with tanks.
The name’s Rémi…
remember it
* turns away, explosions
* KYAAAAAAAAAA! (that song starts playing)

6·3 months agoMmh, maybe the solution than is to use the tool for what it’s good, within it’s limitations.
And not promise that it’s omnipotent in every application and advertise/ implement it as such.
Mmmmmmmmmmh.
As long as LLMs are built into everything, it’s legitimate to criticise the little stupidity of the model.
I think the joke is built on what Mao did to landlords.

In Germany. I think a friend of mine just made that up, it doesn’t have a meaning but it sounds nice.
If you really wanna nail the pronunciation, you have to say all the vowels straight, no diphthongs. So don’t bent the “o” to an “ou”. Boh-nah-nee comes close.
