New FCC documents released today revealed that Valve is planning on releasing a Steam Frame Enthusiast Kit, which will include a hot-swappable battery pack.
Weight distribution is more important - many put a battery pack on the back headrest to offset the weight of the main body. Makes it a lot more comfortable for longer sessions or fast movement.
Sounds like a worthwhile tradeoff for something you’re strapping to your face and therefore want to be as light as possible.
