minus-squareGork@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up8·3 months agoI’ve got some older Lodges and they seem to be holding up well. Is this a result of yet more enshittification?

minus-squareThePantser@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up8arrow-down1·3 months agoI hate lodges factory finish it’s too bumpy. I take a sander to a new one and get it slick and then season.
minus-squaretempest@lemmy.calinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up11·3 months agoThey don’t machine cast iron anymore due to cost. Older machined pans have a smoother surface
minus-squarehendu@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·3 months agoDunno, I got mine about 2 years ago and it’s been perfect.
minus-squarefartsparkles@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up8·3 months agoA cast iron can rarely not be improved with another layer of seasoning imo.
